A number of methods for calculating the minimum required area of the warehouse!

 Many large enterprises now choose to build their own warehouse, but after the warehouse is set up, the warehouse is not as suitable as expected. Why is this? The main reason is that the minimum required area of the warehouse has not been reached. So how do you calculate the minimum required area for the warehouse? The following is a detailed explanation for you.

In general, the calculation of warehouse area is usually used in the following three methods: the analogy method, the quota calculation method, the direct calculation method.

One, comparative analogy method

The comparative analogy method is based on the area of the same level, the same kind and the same material warehouse built on the basis of the proportion relationship between the reserve volume and the reserve volume, and finally adjusted the warehouse area. The calculation formula is as follows:

S=S1* (Q/Q1) *K

In the form:

S - the new warehouse area is sought.

S1 - the area of the same kind of warehouse has been built.

Q - the maximum inventory of the newly built warehouse,

Q1 - the highest inventory of the same kind of warehouse built,

K - adjustment coefficient, if the built warehouse has potential, K is less than 1, otherwise K is more than 1.

Two, quota calculation method

The quota calculation method is the method to calculate the warehouse area by storing the quota of the warehouse area.

It is the ratio of the practical area to the effective area, which is generally 0.4 to 0.6.

The calculation formula is as follows:

S= (Q/N) * (1/ sigma) =Q/ (N* sigma)

In the form:

N - warehouse unit area storage quota (t/m2),

Sigma - the effective area utilization coefficient of the warehouse.

Three, direct calculation method

To directly calculate the stacking rack and the occupied area, the channel occupied area, charge area, calculate the sum of the final sum. S: =S1S2...  Sn

The calculation formula is as follows:

S stack = Q/ [(L, B, H) *k*y] * (1*b) =Q/h*k*y

In the form:

The area occupied by the S stacks.

Q - the highest quantity of material reserves,

L, B, H - the length, width and height of the stacks.

K - the volume of the stacks is full of coefficient,

Gamma - the relative density of the palletizing materials.

Before building a warehouse, we need to calculate the warehouse area as well as some other factors when calculating the minimum demand area. For example, material reserves, average inventory, material annual supply, material variety, warehouse equipment and so on. Therefore, the calculation of the minimum required area of the warehouse is not a simple formula, and many considerations are needed.
