February port report card: the port of Guangzhou can not be stopped

Recently, the Ministry of transport announced in February 2018 above scale port cargo throughput. In February, the ports over the scale of the country completed 941 million 280 thousand tons of cargo throughput, which was 3.2% in the same period last year. Among them, the coastal port completed 677 million 70 thousand tons of cargo throughput, an increase of 4.7% over the same period, while the inland port completed 264 million 220 thousand tons of cargo throughput, a year-on-year decrease of 0.3%. In February, the ports over the scale of the country completed the container throughput of 16 million 741 thousand and 600 TEU, a cumulative increase of 9.1% over the same period. Among them, the coastal ports completed 14 million 986 thousand and 400 TEU, a total of 9.2% year-on-year growth; inland ports completed container throughput of 1 million 755 thousand and 200 TEU, a cumulative increase of 7.8% over the same period.

From the point of view of ports, Ningbo Zhoushan port, Xiamen port, Shenzhen port, Guangzhou port and Suzhou port increased 1-2 times year-on-year, showing double-digit growth, 13.9%, 12.6%, 14.5%, 13.6%, 12.3% respectively.

In the port container throughput above the scale, Shanghai port maintained the status of the largest container port with 6 million 326 thousand and 800 TEU. After Zhoushan ranked second in Ningbo, Shenzhen was unwilling to lag behind and firmly seized container throughput.

In 2018, the major ports were moving forward. In the top ten ports, Zhoushan port in Ningbo increased by 1.7%, up 6.1% from the same period. In the port in the high base of high growth, led the way.

It is worth mentioning that the cargo and container throughput of Guangzhou port increased both in two digits, and continued to force.

From the overall trend, the growth of the Bohai harbour is weak, and the Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta ports are more dynamic. According to the chart analysis, the cargo throughput of Tianjin port and Suzhou port was negative growth for 1-2 months, which decreased by 16.5% and 9% in the same month, respectively.
